Adib Rodriguez Solares, M.D., is a graduate of San Carlos University School of Medicine in Guatemala City. Dr. Rodriguez trained in general pediatrics at Roosevelt Hospital in Guatemala and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and did a post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases. He went back to Guatemala in 1990 to practice at Roosevelt Hospital as an Associate Physician in the Department of Pediatrics and at Juan Pablo II Pediatric Hospital, affiliated to the Francisco Marroquin University School of Medicine, where he became the Director of the Pediatric Residency Program. In 2001 he was President of the Guatemalan Infectious Disease Society and in 2007 he was appointed Head of the Department of Pediatrics at the Herrera Llerandi Hospital. Dr. Rodriguez developed a Pediatric Infectious Disease Fellowship Program in Guatemala City in 2010.
Currently he is an Associate Professor and the Division Chief of General Academic Pediatrics, Department of Pediatrics, University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine in Las Vegas, and adjunct Associate Professor of Pediatrics with University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
